What helped me heal

HEY Y'ALL!!

So, I'm sitting in my bed wondering how in the world I got so blessed? This post isn't to rant but only to tell you of how happy life is and why we should be grateful God is our provider.

Y'all I went to through a rough patch over a year ago and thought it was the worst time of my life. Of course being a girl I was over dramatic and thought my life was ending... welllllll, I'm still here, thankfully, and could give no praise to non other than Jesus Himself.
Did you know that He loves us a lot unconditionally? Cause it's true. Let that sink in a second. We have a Man who fights for us, protects us, loves us, and wants what's best for us? And we don't even have to pay him to do any of those things! He does it all because He wants to.

Jesus has changed my life since the day I accepted Him into it & guess what? It's been nothing but pure bliss. I pray that whatever or whenever you may be going through something that you don't think the worst of it or wonder why you... because there is a reason why. When I went through the rough time the only person I felt comfortable enough to vent, sob, cry, and hurt to was Him. He healed me!

What brought me out of the sadness and pain was realizing how truly amazing my life is. Not at the time, but now I have a loving fiance who I am more than eager to marry; a family that has a heart of gold; and a healthy life. Sure the nice job, great education, and material stuff is nice but the value lies in Him.

SO TRUE^^^

I LOVE this quote from Brooke Shields:

“Don't waste a minute not being happy. If one window closes, run to the next window -- or break down a door.”

I hope you all are having a wonderful week and a joy-filled time preparing for this upcoming holiday! What are some thing's you're doing to get ready? Any traditions you celebrate with your loved ones? Please do share! :)

Talk to you soon <3

Although is may seem materialistic and crazy, believe trust me I'm not a needy/wanty person. However, Christmas is all about Jesus for one, and wants. Not needs. It's about celebrating with those you love & passing around gifts for all to enjoy. I can't wait to Celebrate Caleb and Is one year together and enjoy the holidays.

I really need to get on my game

Okay okayI confess, I may have been absent for to weeks almost :/ but I'm back!

Y'all life has been so busy with school, and my newly returned transfer job; that I had no time to do anything but sleep (barely) haha.
   Things to recap:
1. I got a new job at the hospital where I've been working but now in a new department. I love it! I get to wear my favorite type of clothing which is fancy work attire :) yaaaaay! I work in admitting now so I  get to see lots of pregnant mommas preregistering to have their babies there... Can't wait for that to be me one day (five years from now) ;)

2. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I'm more excited than ever! Plus that means Christmas decor comes out at our house. I can't get enough of the smell of fresh firewood, glimpse of glistening lights draped around the tree, and 25 days til Christmas countdown on ABC family. So much happiness

3. I owe y'all thirteen things I'm thankful for so here goes

 \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

My house
My kitten
My education
My morals
My coffee mug
My cell phone
My relationship with Caleb
My love for helping people( medically) but also emotionally
My job
My support from family and friends
God's grace
My calling for the future
My baby blanket-Yes, I said it.

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

That's it! All up to date. I feel a lot better now that I'm back where I'm suppose to be!

What are you thankful for in this beautiful Saturday?

Fall nights

Consist of Carebear & I watching the EMA'S and ovaltine :) we are such laid back people.

Tonight I am thankful for God's plans:
I am the type of person who likes to know what's going to happen and always being in control of my life. I've had my goals planned out for my whole life basically, and have followed through. I set high goals such as becoming a heart surgeon, getting married, having kids, and always being happy. Although it seems like crazy goals I've set them for the long run & have been continuing forth since I graduated high school. With God as my Father I see I'm not always in control of my life and can't do whatever I want. For it's through Him things are possible. So, as far as now goes; I am graduating soon from my  community college with my AA in Medicine, praying I get accepted into the University of Florida for this upcoming summer, get a BS and get accepted into their PA program because I no longer have a desire to be a heart surgeon. I want to be all kinds of things so my calling has changed slightly. I love how God works and the way he puts side roads in your life to get you to where HE wants you to be. My gracious, merciful, Heavenly Father makes my life and is in control & for that, I am very thankful.

A reminder that helps me when I try to be in the drivers seat:
"Be still, and know that I am God"

I know the way to my mans heart

His stomach, of course! ;) while my man was working all day today & two hours OVER his time I made us dinner.

Grilled chicken Parmesan with green beans (slight dose of garlic) and sweet potatos mashed. I did pretty well if I say so myself... I'm a little biased. But, this does give me good chances to start cooking more in preparation for when we are married which is in 198 days!!!! Six months and eight days :) I am too excited. Last night was a treat for me because Carebear made us steaks and broccoli with cheese.

Now I am writing to y'all as Caleb showers and I relax on the sofa getting ready for a night of Alabama V. LSU game, relaxation, and cuddles. Nothing. Better

I am so thankful for calm nights. If my calling towards becoming a Physicians Assistant is still a yes in Gods book then I can only imagine what my schedule will be like and days/nights at the hospital will be like. So being home with the one I love just sitting is a blessing. Weird right? I should be thankful for something more? Nooooope! Cuddling and talking about our day is a heaping bowl happiness for this girl!

What is something little y'all thankful for?

Now I'm off to lay in his arms and enjoy the rest of our night together. Have a wonderful evening, sweet friends
P.S sorry for all the girlish talk

With love, Britt

Is it that time already?

FOR CHRISTMASSSSS! That's right folks. I am already seeing Christmas decorations up at local stores, the giant tree that gets set up on our towns square, and peppermint mocha coffee creamers... I can't handle it, y'all.
   jk. of course I can because it's my A B S O L U T E favorite holiday for many reasons.

One huge reason I am stoked for this gracious holiday would be because once it comes, the new year is right around the corner which means only four months until I'm married. That's right. Married. I am super excited! Eeeeeek!

I'll hold off on Christmas talk for a couple more weeks ;)

Quick little sharing session, peeps.

I recently had a breakout out of nowhere that causes pimples in random places on my face which I never have. I have been using this one type of face wash from a certain brand ( rhymes with Larry Gray) Ahem*

Anyways, here and there I'll get a pimple and sometimes more than one during a certain timing... This face wash did not help reduce the happen of pimples, redness which my face gets because I'm so fair skinned, and left it oily. I had been using it for about a month with my..

Clarisonic Mia 2 which I HIGHLY recommend. For those of you who just wash your face with your hands and think all your makeup and residue is gone, think again. They are pretty pricey but totally worth it. They are sold on amazon for $120-$160, but you can try your local beauty supply store to get different pricing there.

This beauty clears the skin of all makeup and leaves it feeling fresh. I got it as a gift from my soon-to-be mother in-law and use it every night before bed with my NEW face wash which is...

I use to use this little gem but suddenly switched to a different brand for no reason at.all and I regretted it. I'm back using the Clean and clear morning burst and could not feel any better after a good wash. The little beads inside pop and leave your skin feeling all tingly and happy and will thank you later, :)

You can buy that for only $3.99 on amazon or $6.99 at Walgreens

Along with those two rituals I purchased this
for the past breakouts I've ever had and left marks on my pale face. Just a little dap over a red spot or past scar/mark and let it dry.  Thankfully, I have freckles which help hide my marks from picking and scratching off. You can buy this for only $5.45 off amazon or $8.64 at Walgreens. Seems a little pricey for such a small bottle but I've only been using it for two days and can see results.

What acne face washes work for you? Any homemade remedies?

Thankful thoughts for the yesterday & today are:

My Bible and My open state of mind-I say open state of mind because I never read without applying and understanding. My Bible is the best book I have ever read and could not recommend it more. Trust me, friends! It's a good one ;) When I read my Bible I open it up with a clear mind and just let it pour into me like a river. I take in, try to take in all the graciousness and mercy our Father has laid out for us. One thing I cannot fathom is how a Man can love such sinners as us and never leave nor forsake us.... Tell me that ain't a good book worth opening.

I hope y'all are having a beautiful Friday! T.G.I.F!

With love, Britt
