Is it that time already?

FOR CHRISTMASSSSS! That's right folks. I am already seeing Christmas decorations up at local stores, the giant tree that gets set up on our towns square, and peppermint mocha coffee creamers... I can't handle it, y'all.
   jk. of course I can because it's my A B S O L U T E favorite holiday for many reasons.

        One huge reason I am stoked for this gracious holiday would be because once it comes, the new year is right around the corner which means only four months until I'm married. That's right. Married. I am super excited! Eeeeeek!

I'll hold off on Christmas talk for a couple more weeks ;)

Quick little sharing session, peeps.

I recently had a breakout out of nowhere that causes pimples in random places on my face which I never have. I have been using this one type of face wash from a certain brand ( rhymes with Larry Gray) Ahem*

Anyways, here and there I'll get a pimple and sometimes more than one during a certain timing... This face wash did not help reduce the happen of pimples, redness which my face gets because I'm so fair skinned, and left it oily. I had been using it for about a month with my..

Clarisonic Mia 2 which I HIGHLY recommend. For those of you who just wash your face with your hands and think all your makeup and residue is gone, think again. They are pretty pricey but totally worth it. They are sold on amazon for $120-$160, but you can try your local beauty supply store to get different pricing there.

This beauty clears the skin of all makeup and leaves it feeling fresh. I got it as a gift from my soon-to-be mother in-law and use it every night before bed with my NEW face wash which is...

I use to use this little gem but suddenly switched to a different brand for no reason at.all and I regretted it. I'm back using the Clean and clear morning burst and could not feel any better after a good wash. The little beads inside pop and leave your skin feeling all tingly and happy and will thank you later, :)

You can buy that for only $3.99 on amazon or $6.99 at Walgreens

Along with those two rituals I purchased this
for the past breakouts I've ever had and left marks on my pale face. Just a little dap over a red spot or past scar/mark and let it dry.  Thankfully, I have freckles which help hide my marks from picking and scratching off. You can buy this for only $5.45 off amazon or $8.64 at Walgreens. Seems a little pricey for such a small bottle but I've only been using it for two days and can see results.

What acne face washes work for you? Any homemade remedies?

Thankful thoughts for the yesterday & today are:

My Bible and My open state of mind-I say open state of mind because I never read without applying and understanding. My Bible is the best book I have ever read and could not recommend it more. Trust me, friends! It's a good one ;) When I read my Bible I open it up with a clear mind and just let it pour into me like a river. I take in, try to take in all the graciousness and mercy our Father has laid out for us. One thing I cannot fathom is how a Man can love such sinners as us and never leave nor forsake us.... Tell me that ain't a good book worth opening.

I hope y'all are having a beautiful Friday! T.G.I.F!

Everyone loves the circus

Hello sweet people!

 Hope you had a great Tuesday and are having a wonderful Wednesday :)

It was a busy day yesterday so today I'll make up for it. Yes you read that right! The CIRCUS!!!

Caleb's mom and dad took his adorable nephews to the circus that was here in town & we joined them. So. Fun

Here's a recap of some stuff we saw:

Of course there are selfies of us...;)
                     Ring leader!

Sorry for the bad quality, but I couldn't resist posting these pics!

Not only did we go to the circus but it's my brother and sisters birthday! So we went and had dinner with friends and family to celebrate. Nothing like being with a group of people who are as fun to be around as the circus people ;)

On another note:
My thankful thought for yesterday is my family. They are my world, my lift, support, helpers and friends. I am surrounded by a huge family that wants nothing except happiness for me. Honestly, I love my crazy, silly, fun family.

And for today I am thankful for my car. As materialistic as it may seem and how much I'm trying to avoid that... this post needs to be said. I have a recall on my 2013 Ford Fusion and am getting it fixed.. I am without my car for about four hours which is awful today because OF COURSE I have everything in the world to do today. I have a new job transfer interview, physical therapy, school, and the gym. Thankfully I have a selfless fiancé who is picking me up from the dealership and will be driving me around for the time being. I never realized how car dependent I am until now, friends.

What are y'all thankful for today?

Have a blessed Wednesday!

Simply satisfied

Hello friends! I hope you've had a wonderful Monday;)

Today's thankful thought: my best friend Rachel.
This little lady had been my neighbor, sister, and close shoulder to cry on for lots of years now & I couldn't be more thankful for someone to share the ups and downs with.

That is all. I love you, Rach

A teaspoon of sugar

Good morning my sweet friends! I hope you are all having a very happy Sunday.

I am currently sitting on my comfy couch writing to y'all about simple things and then it hit me as to what my next thing I'm thankful for is... My life
                        Forreal, everyone. It's awesome

I have a loving family, supportive friends, a wonderful man in my life and so much more. How could someone not be pleased with just that alone? Being able to blog and afford technology to communicate with y'all is a blessing, but if all of it were to be taken away I can still say I'm thankful for everything I have.

God's been putting on my heart that it's not about how much you have, but about what you have. And folks, I have a lot of love in my life. A lot. I don't want to look back on life 50+ years from now and think of all the materialistic factors that consumed my life.

“One of the main reasons that we lose our enthusiasm in life is because we become ungrateful..we let what was once a miracle become common to us. We get so accustomed to his goodness it becomes a routine.”

Side track: Caleb and I are so close to our closing date on the house and I'm stuck between two different couches.

Which one do y'all like better?

November brings thanks

 Happy Saturday, all! I hope y'all are enjoying your weekend. It's rainy outside with a cool breeze in the air.

    Todays post will be brief and to the point.
I know I'm a day late but I wanted to list something every day that I'm thankful for during this whole month.

The month of November not only brings joy because Christmas is right around the corner, but the fact that we all have so much to be grateful for.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. My Jesus
My Savior, saving grace, healer, mentor, and so much more. I would not be the woman I am today, nor as strong as I am without Him in my life. He brought me up when I was down, healed me when I felt broke, and saved me when no other person could. Forever thankful for such a loving man in my life that I can call mine <3
2. My soon-to-be hubs
I am beyond thankful for Caleb not only because I'm soon to be married to him, but because he is the love of my life. He brings me smiles everyday and happiness to go along with it. The Lord did a great job matching us two up for a lifetime together. Caleb warms my heart with love and joy and never lets me forget how beautiful I am. He has made it possible to believe in that fairytale love us girls think of since toddler days. I am telling you, y'all, I'm blessed
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I can not express how blessed and thankful I am for the wonderful life I have. This month I hope y'all show the ones you love just how thankful you are for them. Also I pray that this month I remember there are more important things to be grateful for other than material things. Sometimes we get caught up in all our possessions and we forget what is most valuable to us.

                               I Love this quote. Short. Sweet & to the point!
                                     Remember all, it's about giving thanks.
"Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year; to the honest man it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow."  ~Edward Sandford Martin

A few things you missed

Happy Tuesday, y'all! I know in my previous post I mentioned as one of my October goals was to blog more.... well, considering this is my second blog in all of October and it's almost November I didn't fall through. BUT I have many reasons to which I'll share :)

Over the past couple of weeks Caleb & I have been anxiously awaiting an approval of our offer on the home we want as a first home together! Well guess who got an acceptance from the bank? Us. I can not tell you how happy we were to hear them finally accept it. I screeched like a little girl. Eeeeeek! I was in class when the realtor sent us the good news and had to wait to find out why my phone was blowing up with texts/calls/emails. But let me tell you; it was the best news we've heard in a while about the home.

Other events that occurred while I was MIA from blogging: Our Save the Dates. Luckily Caleb's sister has a nice camera and was able to take them for us free of charge! I mean...who doesn't love free things? No one!Crazy people actually.
Sneak peak ->

Besides that, we also went on a little idea shopping date for future furniture for our home. I am beyond excited to start the renovation process to our little fixer-upper. Thankfully I have a sweet man and future father-inlaw who are GREAT handymen. Y'all, they can fix a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g & for that, I'm more grateful. I sure did pick the right one ;)

Do y'all have any tips for new home almost owners? Any cute decorations for around the house? I'd love to talk diy because I'm  sucker for stuff from scratch. Comment and let me know what cute ideas you have/d for your home. Or you can email me Here.

On another note: God is working great on me and my life. I'm still in school surviving and keeping my grades to A's.I graduate in May a week before our wedding ;) I am in the midst of my application to the university of Florida (UF Gators) and am praying nonstop that once I submit it they will accept me when the time comes for acceptancees. So friends and family please keep me in your prayers over the next couple of months + especially as I go through the waiting process of hearing my determination.

Whew! That covers quite a bit that has happened.

Something to look forward to

*Getting out of my boot- I broke my ankle back in September doing a mudrun. I know you're thinking how in the world? The monkey bars. Don't trust em! I slipped and fell right down hard on my ankle and my knee caved. So I broke my left ankle in three places with a severe sprain and have a nice contusion (Bruise) in my right knee. So blessed to have been taken care of over the past several weeks but I can't wait to get my boot off on Halloween and be able to finally wear matching shoes! Let alone two shoes!
P.S. When I was little I wanted a broken bone so bad so I would be able to wear a cast that I would roll off my bunk-bed and land on my arm just to break it. No luck. But some years later I'm biting my tongue because it is NOT fun.

*The holidays- Hello! Thanksgiving is only 30 days away, y'all. Which means Black Friday is so close after. Christmas is 57. Holy flippin cow time is flying. I love the holidays not only for the amazing food but for the moments I get to spend with my loved ones. With everyone working and in school it's hard for us all to gather often. With the holidays it gives us that special time to create fun moments to talk about years to come.

Here's a last reminder for the week: "and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds"

Let the Fall begin

Hey y'all! It's been a while since I've blogged.. I guess it's because I've got so much going on!

I never knew going to school, planning a wedding, and having a job would be so time consuming ;)

Since the last time I was on here we had our engagement party & man oh man was is great! Seeing people who love us, there, celebrating with Caleb and I made the party even better. That started the whole families becoming one process for the Murphy side and Tilley side. "And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony." Colossians 3:14

 My high school friends make me miss those days back in senior year! Love love love them!

 This woman is so selfless and thoughtful. She put together the whole engagement party with help from her friends and the Tilley's just to celebrate Caleb and I. My Mema

Two peas in a pod- Grandpa

On another note... It's FALLLLLLLLL! Better yet, It's October! You know what this means, right? Pumpkins, flavored coffee, leaves changing, beautiful trees, cool breeze, over-sized sweaters, bonfires, Hayrides, baking, Halloween, and LOVE.

With Fall & October inspiring me I've decided to make three goals for this month and hope to follow through with it for months to come.

Here they are:

Pray more for people-I pray every single night for my family, friends, Caleb & myself but I feel like it's not enough. I want to pray every time I get the chance to help someone and when I know they need it. I hope to pray for a broader spectrum than just people I know or like. "Pray without ceasing," 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Increase my blog time-With all this school, work, wedding planning and such on my plate I barely get time to sit down and write to y'all. Secretly, I love writing but never get to. So I'm making it a goal to try and blog more for at least this month just so I can express what I'm going through in life and share it!

Grown more with Caleb-You all may think... Aren't you with Caleb 24/7? Well, sort of! But I love the man sooooo, I can be. I want to grow closer with him on new levels and focus on our relationship as a whole. I mean, we are about to get married and spend the rest of our lives together. I want to pray for our relationship and see what good comes from praying together. I hope to start doing more Christ-centered things with Him other than church and our separate prayer time. Unity

I think these goals are doable and especially since they are fun! I can't wait to see things change in this new season (literally) but of my life as a Bride-to-be.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Although Caleb & I are together whenever we aren't working or doing other things, we appreciate the time we get to have when we are with each other, as if it's rare.
Usually,we're home bodies but when we get the chance to go out we LOVE it. Especially if it's a sushi date! Just getting to dress up nice, go out to eat, and spend time with this hunk is a great time to me. I could go on literally all day about how madly in love I am with him but I'll save you the sappiness for some other time;)
All right y'all, here is when I need you for prayers! My soon-to-be cousin is being deployed in Greece for 15 months. 15 months people!!! He definitely needs all the prayer he can get as he travels thousands of miles away from home to serve our country.
Pray for safe travels, protection over him & his friends, quick return, and that he remain close with God. We'll miss you, Barrett! Love you, buddy!
Wowzers, this was a lengthy post! But totally worth for making up for lost time. All in all I have a beautifully thankful happy life and could not be any more blessed.
xoxo
Talk to you soon, <3
