God's pairing

Hey everyone! I'm giving you a forewarning that this post is going to be really girly & basically all about my soon-to-be hubs. He has been lying heavily on my heart. Sorry in advance ;)

This man has completely stolen my heart. I can't get enough of him + his sweetness. When you watch chick flicks and the girls all feel like princesses and we imagine our lives living out a story like that with the perfect ending... I'm living my fairytale right now. "I have found the one whom my soul loves."-Song of Solomon 3:4

I admit it; I can't picture myself without him. He's literally my best friend. Could you live without the one you tell your secrets to, share fun moments with, make timeless memories, and love oh so dearly?

I don't know if it's because he has a servants heart for The Lord or what but he is one selfless man. I won't share all of our life with you but heres a snippet: I'm going to college now & I have a couple years left to get my bachelors and then PRAYING I get into the Physicians Assistant program where I can graduate as a PA. Caleb on the other hand as I mentioned before is waiting to be hired on as a firefighter/EMT. He wishes to pursue his career further by becoming a paramedic as well. Because I am still in school he is sacrificing his schooling to be held off until I finish mine because he knows how much I love it and this way he can provide for us both. He is willing to wait four years for me to finish just so he can get a years worth done. Now, correct me if I'm wrong but that sounds like the definition of selflessness.

The other night we went out to a surprise dinner for a friend. Of course I had to snag a picture with this hunk <3

In other news>>> Nine months and five days until I am Mrs. Tilley. Eeeeek! I'm so excited.

All I can do is praise Him for the protection and guidance which He is leading our hearts. Wedding stuff isn't easy on your own so I'm incredibly thankful for the supportive families, caring friends, and of course our loving Father up above.

However, I'm glad He has also given me TRUST in Him. It's so difficult to imagine your wedding day which is 278 days away...;) When we don't know what God has in store for Caleb & I. Things could change drastically! & you know what we could do about it? Adjust. Adjust to His timing and trust. As y'all are aware, Care bear & I are still waiting to hear back about the house we put an offer on. Well, the sellers signed the contract so thats one yes!!! ---->Exciting to say the least. Now we are patiently waiting to get a response from the bank. Not much we can do except pray and wait.

We've been thinking of our future home & of course I'm constantly thinking of new things we can do to the house or what to add or what to buy and it's all overwhelming, but exciting at the same time. Bless Caleb's heart for sticking through it with me as I continue to throw out ideas to him about what we should do to OUR home. I never thought I'd be one to get all HGTV... but I'm anxious to get my hands dirty.

Prayers are greatly appreciated to us. So thank you to those who have sent them our way & have been loving on us over these last weeks.

Enjoy this ugly picture which completely describes our relationship <3
Y'all, you have to be comfortable with someone you plan on spending the rest of your life with... otherwise, you're just two strangers sharing a bedroom. I love this man with every ounce of my heart & wouldn't trade our friendship, relationship, and love for anything else. I'm so thankful God paired me up with this goofball because I think I'd be single the rest of my life with the ugly faces I make ;)

Here's a picture of my moms adorable kitten. I couldn't resist sharing. I hope this makes your Monday a little bit better!

Thanks for reading and have a great week!
Talk to you soon, <3

Patience is a virtue

Hey everyone! Not much has gone on since last time... EXCEPT Caleb & I put an offer on a house :) Exciting, I know!

I can't wait to buy things for our home. Live together in our home. Grow as one in our home. I get butterflies when I think that in a matter of nine months and eleven days we will be under the same roof where we plan to grow closer, love more, and create memories. It no longer is your room or your bathroom. It's our and I'm perfectly okay with that. The best part is starting from scratch as a God centered engaged couple to developing into a God centered married couple.

The only downside is that now it's a waiting process. We wait to see if they accept our offer and then if not we have to worry about if we get the house at all or not with retaliation of another offer; that's the great thing about our God though. He teaches us patience.

"My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,"-James 1:19 (NIV)

Although it's a waiting process I love knowing I have God standing beside me and reassuring me be calm before you become upset.

In other news: I had the privilege of celebrating two very special women in my life birthdays over the weekend.
My memas ^^--th birthday. *She reads this so I can't put her age ;) This is from our mani/pedi date I treated her to. Then my great grandma had her 87th birthday. They always say like mother like daughter & man am I lucky to have these two wonderful influences in my life who have helped mold me into the woman I am today.

Since I'm now a certified nurses assistant I'm job hunting for a temporary CNA job until I'm done with school to be a Physicians Assistant. It's quite the amount of schooling but I have a lot an immense amount of support from my family and friends (especially my soon-to-be hubs). It's all in God's hands and timing.

~~ Thoughts for the week~~
"Don't act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do."-Ephesians 5:17

Often we only seek God when we are in trouble, are want an answer immediately, or simply because we want clarity over something. How about seeking Him just because you want to get to know Him more? I mean, He is our permanent care giver. The thing is... God doesn't just love us on certain days when He feels we haven't been loved lately, He doesn't just help us when we are down, and He doesn't just comfort us when we need it. He always is and will be our Rock and salvation trying to give us what's best. So before you act thoughtlessly, put your thoughts into God's promises & wait for His answer.

This is where patience comes in again. Maybe this week think about when you call on God; and how that can change into leaning on Him when in need for everything not just certain requests. "We all need somebody to leeeeeeean on" That's God. Lean on Him for your pick-me-up before you make a decisions without thinking.

& Here's a picture to help you,

Remember: He never gave up us as sinners, so don't give up on Him to rescue you from your triumphs.

Talk to you soon, <3

We serve a loving God

Y'all this right here is by far the best day of my life. "Two are better than one; for they have a good reward for their labour."-Ecclesiastes 4:9

June 16th, 2013 on the beautiful beaches of St. Augustine, my boyfriend, then, in front of his whole family asked me to marry him. Side note: I actually asked his mom while this was happening if it was all a joke! Luckily it was not and I tearfully said "YES" I mean... this is every girls dream! We plan this day from the early ages of elementary school!! I am so excited to go from Murphy to Tilley. Most importantly, I'm eager to see how we both grow together in God and become ONE.

My best friend, my other half, my "perfect match", my whatever you want to call it. He is my all and I couldn't be more blessed that God united us after four years of friendship. Let me tell you a little bit about Caleb (don't worry I asked permission first): ----------->

He is firefighter/EMT waiting to be hired on so for now he works at a doctors office. He has a humble heart and adores his family. Loves The Lord, has a respectful mind and is super handsome * ooops sorry that's just a bonus ;) I cannot wait to marry this man! 289 days.. BUT who's counting <3

"The goal of marriage is not to think alike but to think together." With the direction of our Heavenly Father, I hope to gain more love, more happiness, and a secure life with this wonderful man.

Caleb and I have been house hunting for the past couple of weeks and haven't had any luck. Today we are going to look at a few more and hopefully, God-willing we can say yes to the house! Doing all of these things together (house hunting, wedding planning, meeting with people, etc) really sets a mood on an engaged couple that makes you want more of your significant other. It's been on my heart to share my story with everyone not to brag about my life at all... but to express how God's love can spread through two people. Genesis 2:18 "The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." God then proceeded to create Eve with one of Adam's rib bones to show that together they are one. I pray that as these next nine & a half months go by we seek Him above all else. After all, we are nothing without the guidance of God.

I hope you all enjoyed my very first post on here! I like writing so I'm happy I finally decided to make one!
